Santa's Sleigh Adventure!
Christmas should be a special time of the year, but we know it can be hard for some! We try out best to give an extra helping hand spreading some joy and completed that with 2 projects for the 2024 Xmas!
Team 1 had cars loaded with presents and essentials to go to the homes of those needing a little help this Christmas with our charity trustee Sammi ensuring everyone was going to have smiling faces when they woke up on Christmas day. Whilst Tom took the reigns and kicked off the Santa's sleigh adventure pulling Santa's sleigh from Fleetwood to Squires Gate while his elves handed toys to every child they passed. They had an incredible time and got to see so many happy faces which boosted them to keep going!
We were even lucky enough to receive some cards and gifts ourselves along the way which made us burst with pride! Merry Christmas!
Fylde Coast Community awards 2024
Our biggest fundraiser of the year turned into a true local GIANT of an event – The Fylde Coast Community Awards 2024!
With 14 categories celebrating local businesses, groups, and individuals, plus our own special recognition awards, the night was all about honouring the people who have supported us and stood out in our community this year.
It was an evening filled with laughter, tears, joy, and heartfelt emotion, a room overflowing with support for the Fylde Coast. Music, high spirits, and a huge sigh of relief when it was all wrapped up, we managed to pull off the biggest event of the year in just a few short months!
We’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible, and we can’t wait to do it all again.
So… who’s ready for the 2025 Awards?
PROJECT:
ACCESS
Funding & Sponsorship programme to enable the youth of our community to gain access to key skill building with local groups & organisations for a better chance for their future.
Providing opportunities for equal success to the next generation.
Project Access
In Autumn 2024, we launched Project Access, our dedicated funding and sponsorship programme designed to help children gain access to local clubs, activities and organisations that they otherwise couldn’t afford. The aim is simple: to open doors that allow young people to build their skills, explore their talents, grow in confidence, and create new opportunities for their future.
Already, Project Access has started making a difference. This year, we’ve supported children in gaining tutorship and successfully passing examinations within the music industry through Lauren Hope Music. We also have two young people now taking part in a 12-month programme with Scot at UTC Blackpool.
Looking ahead, the programme continues to grow. We have begun sponsoring tutoring with JFT Boxing and we will shortly be starting new sponsorships with Horan Shukokai Centre. These partnerships will help us extend even more opportunities for the youth of our community.
Take to the Skies!
We wanted to keep the momentum up for high energy big fundraisers! So what better way than to take an awesome team 15k feet up in the air to jump out of a small plane! October was a chilly one but this team of 5 were absolute champs and joined together for the big skydive raising vital funds for our work.
The intensity felt extreme as the team hit speeds of 143mph in freefall before safely landing back to the ground!
Would you like to do a Sky dive to raise funds for us?
The Fylde Coast Adventure
The only full Fylde Coast charity event covering all 18 miles of our beautiful coastline.
In our first annual event, we held a brilliant convoy of over 50 people (including one of our founders, Tom, who took on the challenge with a 25kg weighted vest). Together, they walked the full journey from Fleetwood Ferry to Lytham Windmill. An incredible 95% of the starting line completed the route, with every participant receiving a certificate and award to mark their achievement.
The day was about more than the distance. It was about bringing strangers together, building new friendships, raising awareness and generating vital funds for Fylde Kids Foundation. And it was a huge success!
Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we weren’t able to go ahead with the 2025 Fylde Coast Adventure. But we hope to bring it back, bigger and better in 2026.
The Mountain Climb(s)
We decided it was time to up the game and start working on BIGGER and crazier fundraisers to hopefully achieve more. The idea was to take on the first mountain Scafell Pike which became an escapade of a group of 5 strangers becoming good friends and raising money on two mountain climbs together as they went on to complete Ben Nevis also! Ascending a total climb of 7638ft together all in the name of Fylde Kids foundation!
The first official fun day
Throughout 2024 we have had endless fundays to host fundraisers at multiple venues. Our first ever was at one of our most supportive local venues - Shickers Tavern! Shickers owner Liam has supported our cause multiple times as a sponsor and host. Holding live music, raffles and a range of fun to kickstart our fundraisers!
Every fundraiser is vital to help the work we do.

Distributing essentials
From the moment we went live we were called upon to help our local community. Families who were struggling and needing support. We have distributed emergency supplies to hundreds of homes throughout 2024 and ensured a lot of children have had the nourishment & essentials they need.
Working with local authorities, councils and family centres as well as schools & social media to optimise our reach to help.
the 2023 Xmas
hospital donation
Xmas 2023 was such a special time for many of us, but without doubt we all saw the struggle that families faced, some more than others! Whilst their were so many fantastic businesses helping support local families, a group of local businesses together raised a huge donation drive to support the Blackpool Victoria Hospital Childrens Ward (And staff too!) During this time they ensured that every child and staff member received a gift, sweet treat and vouchers too to local toy shops and more excellent gifts. As well as leaving a cash donation to the hospital. We also saw a special appearance from The Seaside Superheroes (The Grinch, Batman & Deadpool Characters)
Autumn 2023
School Waterproofs
The Fylde Coast had a very wet Autumn but some schools still had outdoor activities to encounter and with that we saw multiple families seeking help in sourcing waterproofs for the older children and younger teens. Within a week the Fleetwood schools had received their package containing over £350 worth of high quality and durable waterproofs for various ages too ensure that ALL were helped at this time. This was possible by the local companies again pulling together to source and fund the solution.

Summer 2023 School Donation
We kick started summer of with a cap donation to 15 Schools from Fleetwood to Blackpool South after seeing schools reaching out for cap donations for some children that were without during the sun and heat we had! We Managed to help over 500 children safely play out during school playtime with thanks to the connections between CT Customs & Right Track Care Agency to reach our goal and successfully help those that needed it.
