Need a little helping hand?
We support children and families across the Fylde Coast who are facing financial hardship. We know that every family can feel the strain at times, and we are here to help ease some of those pressures.
Our aim is to make sure that every child in our community has the same opportunities to succeed, and we are committed to ensuring that no child goes without essential support. If you are struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We will have a friendly, confidential conversation about your circumstances and guide you to the most appropriate request form (linked below).
We work closely with local authorities, organisations, clubs, and community groups to maximise the support available, from essential household help to opportunities for children to develop new skills.
Our support is available to families from all backgrounds with children aged 0–19, including those with working parents. If you’re feeling the pressure, please reach out. You don’t need to face it alone.
Food Support Information
Our food support is intended to be short term and emergency based. It is not designed to be relied upon as a long term solution. Families are encouraged to take positive steps to improve their situation, and we are happy to support and guide you during this process. Where we are unable to help directly, we will signpost or refer you to relevant services that can provide ongoing or specialist support.
Food vouchers are available for emergency situations only, where other food support options, such as local food banks, cannot be accessed. In all other cases, we will refer families to one of the many fantastic food support services available locally.
Each food voucher request requires a new application, even if support has been provided previously. Vouchers can be requested once per calendar month and are assessed fairly and confidentially based on individual circumstances. The amount granted with a food voucher will vary depending on individual circumstances and assessed need.
Please note: being in receipt of benefits or free school meals does not automatically guarantee support. Every application is assessed on its own merits. We work to a set threshold, while recognising that not every situation is straightforward. Providing as much supporting information as possible helps us make the most accurate and fair decision.
